yes, that is so true!! well, i decided to play along a bit further and asked for the heart clearances on both parents.....
"There is no history of mitral valve disorder in either line-They have both been seen by my Vet since they were small and neither showed any sign of a murmur or other symptoms of this valve disorder-In order to sell my puppies at this cost I certainly cannot afford to do an extensive heart work-up-I believe there is no need to since there is no family history. They both have regular vaccinations and exams and have always been given a clean bill of health. If you look on my website you will see a copy of my females AKC papers and see she is from top lines- If you are not comfortable with that then you shouldn't buy one of my puppies-I wouldn't want anyone to buy one that was not comfortable-There are several others being listed that range from $900-$1500 that are currently being advertised on Yahoo and I don't know what their policy is on this issue-Thanks Susan " -----Original Message----- From: The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Maureen Kopper Sent: Saturday, May 25, 2002 3:21 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [CKCS-L] yahoo ad The sad part of this story, Mary, is that if someone goes ahead and buys the puppy (a responsible person, say from this list), that will only encourage the seller to produce more and more pups for sale! :-( I almost bought a Japanese Chin from a petshop until I realized that. I could only pray that this puppy went to a decent home!
