Hi Myra,
One of my foundation girls was purchased for a very modest amount of
money and a puppy back. I was very fortunate to have had the good luck to buy
her because she gave me lovely puppies that in turn went on to produce lovely
puppies. If I'd been so worried about someone else possibly making a small
profit off of the deal I'd have missed out on breeding a National Specialty
BOB winner. I feel nothing but gratitude to the woman who trusted me enough
to give me a chance. By the way, when I loved the pick bitch in the first
litter and was unhappy that she was to be sold. The breeder returned her to
me and took her pick from the second litter. I don't think you can be fairer
than that. Not every co-own or puppy back requires huge amounts of money up
front.

                 Chris Meager
