Hi Myra,

Neither of my co-owns involved a large amount of money. The first
co-owned bitch was sold to a repeat puppybuyer that I had known
for more than 10 years. I sold her the puppy at a pet price and
asked for the option to have the option of 2ND pick from one litter.
Unfortunately, we didn't get any puppies and now the bitch is over 5
years old and will not be bred again. The second co-own was at the
suggestion of the stud dog owner (again, someone I had known for
10 years) as she wanted something out of the litter (she had bred
the dam as well) and this is how I paid for the stud fee - I gave her
my 2nd pick bitch (now a finished champion) and I would get the
option on one puppy from a future litter. This bitch had a litter of two
- one bitch and one dog. The dog was placed as a pet
and she has kept the bitch puppy to run on but not before asking me
if I wanted her. So, I still co-own two bitches and hope that the 2nd
bitch will have something for me in a future litter. Never say never -
you never know you might want to do a similar co-own in the future.

Have a great weekend, Jackie
