Hi Denise- all four of our doggy doors are set at three inches from the floor to the bottom of the doggy door frame. We have one that came all assembled in a door that sets into the sliding glass door and it is at three also. My puppies have no trouble getting in and out- or learning to manuever the door at that setting and its easy on the older ones too.
