Wm. refuses to learn to use the computer. I even have to be his scribe for
his emails to family and friends.
He'd rather be working in the yard. Today in 100 degree heat he was planting
mums, cleome and perennial hibiscus in the driveway flowerbeds. He's
supposed to be retired, but he works harder at gardening than if he had a
full time job.

I guess I've been a little choked up lately about loved ones due to the
death of our former music minister. About two weeks ago Rick was driving on
the expressway and talking on his cell phone . He ran his van up under a big
truck. There were no skid marks, he never even braked. He was badly torn up,
lingered about two weeks and passed away last Sunday without ever
acknowledging anyone. He was only 47 and left a wife and two young
daughters. Every time I think about his wife, Becky, and what she's going
through, I tear up and am grateful that I've still got Wm. I hate cell
phones, they've caused more serious accidents than people realize.
All the best,
Susan Cochran
