Coming from a breed that does suffer from hip dysplasia, and testing every brood bitch
and stud dog, I was quite familiar with the problem. I had no idea that cavaliers had
hip dysplasia, until I had a conversation with Cindy Beebee, some years ago. Since
then I have had each one of my girls xrayed, and sent the resulting data to OFA.
Fortunately, all have been OFA Good.
If it weren't for people telling me that the problem existed in cavaliers, I wouldn't
have known about it. So our networking on the telephone and on our various "lists" is
so helpful for those of us willing to listen!
Rosanne, who is grateful for input from listmates!
