Yes I read the article.  I am not making apologies for anyone, nor do I
approve.  I am simply saying that there are things she needs to know about
cavaliers, and being a nurse, she has the ability to learn, but she isn't
going to learn anything if we chase her off the list.  I don't know how many
of you recall the gentleman in Canada that started off his posts to this
list in much the same way.  He received a lot of education from us, and in
the end, started testing his dogs, posting the test results, even the
negative ones, to the list.

Regarding hip dysplasia, I agree that the majority of cavaliers that have
it, particularly if it's borderline or mild,
 will probably not have problems living out their lives.  That's true for
geographic retinal dysplasia, as well.  But what if your bitch's dysplasia
would have been severe?  Would you still have bred her then?  If you "don't
test hips anymore", how would you know?
