I realize this and have always believed it.  But I have heard from several
people who had their puppies checked at 8-12 weeks of age, at 1, 2, 3 and
more years of age--had absolutely NO folds of any type, then suddenly
developed geographic retinal dysplasia at 4, 5 or even 8 years of age.  How
do you explain this?
