For those who attempted to grade the hips on the Premier Site, here are the
answers.

The hips on the left were graded *Good*.

The hips on the right were graded *Moderate Hip Dysplasia*. The one hip was
obviously MUCH better than the other but it was not graded separately by
OFA.

I think those who attempted to grade were VERY close and don't think hip
dysplasia rating is all that subjective--certainly not any more subjective
than grading murmurs, patellar luxation or evaluating eyes. However I
think they should all be sent to OFA (or whatever is the prime rating
organization of a country) for other reasons--most for the good of the
BREED. Much easier for statistics to be gathered so trends can be seen. If
we all keep our records and only tell those who inquire--we won't have any
idea if the incidence of HD is getting higher or lower in the breed or if it
needs to be watched more closely.
