Mickey Weyenberg makes an excellent point here. Taking this a step further, if we do not x-ray pets and we continue not to send in x-rays on dogs we suspect will not pass their OFAs, our statistics will continue to be seriously flawed and we will never know the true extent of hip dyspasia in Cavaliers. According to the folks I've spoken to at OFA, the truth is that because of these two factors we do not currently have an accurate picture of HD in Cavaliers. All the best, Susan V.
