<Do you think dogs get their feeling hurt when being left behind like people do? [EMAIL PROTECTED] Glenn Fulton>
When I used to take Dinah to the vet each week, Madeleine would just look at me pitifully when we left. Dinah would get *so* excited, and then I would feel terrible when she would have to have blood taken. I started taking her by my sister's on the way home so she would feel like we were doing something fun. As for Madeleine, I would try to pay extra attention to her when we would return. I did feel guilty leaving her. I don't know if they get their feelings hurt or not. I just finished listening to a book on tape called, "Dogs Never Lie About Love." It addressed things like this and was pretty interesting. Carol Richards East Tennessee, USA [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.geocities.com/carolscavaliers/ "My little dog, a heartbeat at my feet."
