There are SOME pet members who are VERY involved in CKCSC. They are
knowledgeable and care about the breed.

The vast majority of my pet buyers are the same as yours--they don't want to
be educated, they don't give a hoot where their puppy is registered, and
they especially don't want to be involved in a vote. I know my pet buyers
are no different from the pet buyers that buy from other breeders!

MOST of the pet members who will vote really don't feel a great need to
vote. Most are being pushed and guided to vote by their personal mentor
(usually their breeder but sometimes some other significant person) and
nearly 100% of them will vote the exact same way as that personal mentor .
Their educating is biased so they are not able to make an informed choice
based on true understanding.

I am positive most of the pet members who will eventually vote against the
issue would have voted FOR the issue had they just had a different mentor.

Our job is to remain respectful and understanding so that we may be accepted
for the job of mentor to those pet members so they will truly listen to us.
If we can do that, we will succeed. If we cannot, they will turn elsewhere
for guidance.
