Well, Phyllis, you certainly nailed the differences in venues for me!!! Hot
sun, rushing, being nearly run down by professional handlers who then kneel
next to me... compare that with with your description of the CKCSC shows, and
it's truly a no-brainer! Add to that a chance to talk to many wonderful
people who are interested in our breed, and be able to sit down with them and
show them the dogs at leisure....
well, long live both venues, but they sure do have their differences!

Don't get me wrong, I show in local AKC shows, and show my own dogs, and
enjoy meeting other owner/handlers who are doing the same thing. I enjoy
being able to travel a short distance and get back home to the rest of my
dogs.... Unfortunately many owners think they can't show their own, and
hire a handler instead... They miss the true joy of being in the ring and
showing their dogs!

So long live both venues. Enjoy both!
