I agree with this statement as well. Certainly every potential cavalier owner can ask the breeder for health testing information on any puppy's parents before they choose to purchase it. If there is no such information the puppy buyers can certainly look elsewhere for a new family member. So each individual purchasing a puppy can get the health information should they desire to get it. No one has to purchase a particular cavalier if they don't want to.... I certainly test my dogs, and would only breed a cavalier who had the potential to improve the breed. Making testing mandatory in this country would be such a major debate that it would totally confuse the issue of the simple one of accepting AKC as an accceptable registry for the CKCSC,USA. All other national registries are accepted for registration by the CKCSC,USA. It seems to be logical that our own country's registry should be accepted!
