I agree completely and I'm just one of those pet owners. <g> I love Cavaliers and I'm very interested in the well-being of the breed but I'll NEVER be a breeder or begin to understand what's involved. I don't mind piping up with my uninformed opinions in an informal venue like this one, but I'm not nearly involved enough in the world of canines to be a member of the AKC or CKCSC or any other KC. I'm very interested in medicine too, but the AMA isn't interested in having me as a member -- which I think would be serious fun.
