Maybe dogs and cats are different in this aspect re: response to honey, but I would
still use caution. It is such a bad thing for human babies, that there are posters in
every health department in both English and Spanish warning of the dangers of honey to
human babies less than 1 year old. I would personally use an alternative form of
sweetner( if I had to use a sweetner), such as table sugar, but everyone has the right
to use their own judgement. Years ago, they also routinely used aspirin in pregnancy
and now we know that can lead to tragic results. For my own dogs, I will not use
something that has the potential to cause a lot of harm if there are acceptable and
safer alternatives.

same here annette. i have also raised orphaned kittens with a little honey
mixed in the formula and never had any problems.
