Yes. Go right ahead. <G>

Unless these dogs are together all day and the ear is wet quite a lot, I
find it highly unlikely that a period of play would cause yeast. Yeast
is endemic to both of these breeds of dogs. And, once yeast starts it
is hard to stop. Most likely, this has *nothing whatsoever* to do with
your dog. Maybe your neighbor should find a vet in an established
practice somewhere?

All I can suggest (and my experience with yeast has shown me how
intractable it can be) is to tell her to bath her dog in Selsun Blue (or
Nizoral.....dandruff shampoo) and to get hydrocordisone rinse from the
vet it if is bad. Additionally, a triotic ear ointment may be necessary
if the infection is bad. However, if it is a chronic condition, she may
well need to work hard to prevent it re-occuring.

Also, I'm making up (waiting for one more ingredient to arrive) a bit of
my own thornit which is good for keeping the yeast at bay for some time.
Hilarie just posted the recipe for that not too long ago.

Good luck. Personally, I think it too much trouble to let your dog play
with that particular dog.

Best,

Suze
