I have a dominant for black boy. His first litter had 6 and they were all
tricolors and I seriously considered he was dominant for black right away.
But it wasn't until he had produced at least 20 tricolor puppies, with no
blenheims at all, that I felt safe declaring he was dominant for black. He
has now produced 6 litters, 27 puppies--all tricolors so I think there is no
doubt . . . almost for sure. In other words, although the odds would be
astronomically high, there is still the tiniest chance possible that he
isn't.
