You make a good point. The dog that did go breed was my choice for the day and a very 
sound, balanced dog. His case is interesting, as he is very correct but not flashy-I 
love to see him win! I would not want to see an inferior specimen go up, neither would 
I want to see an artificially altered specimen go up, as that would set precedents. 
Doesn't appear to be black and white, guess that is why it is called judging:)

Correct me if I am wrong, I had the DQ conversation recently and according to my 96 
version of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Ch. 11, Sec.8-A  a dog DQ under this 
section may not compete again until owner has applied to AKC and been reinstated. This 
section refers to dogs that are unapproachable.  In the Sec. 8-C dogs with artificial 
alteration would not be used or awards would be withheld. Sec. 8 talks about DQ under 
breed standard and not having two testicles-this must happen 3 times 3 diff judges 
such dog may not be shown again.
