I don't see why not......but I don't have a machine. When mixed with warm water.....the powder dissolves as a liquid and it's not caustic or harmful. It cleans very well.....doesn't bleach.....so if your carpet is very dirty.....it might look as though it's bleached......but actually, the carpet is clean! I have blenheim red colored carpet and it did not turn it white.
