The FSF's assignment policy's main purpose is to ensure that all
versions of a GNU program remain free -- that is, being the copyright
holder, the FSF can easily prevent others from hoarding modified
versions.  However, even though the copyright is being assigned, the
FSF is _never_ allowed to distribute your code under non-free terms.

I assume that once you assign copyright to TVT for a modification to
the GPL'd Kaffe, that they can then incorporate that code into their
non-free tree?
