Odd Error Message

It seems that when the Agent attempts to run this error message pops up...
Unexpected error; quitting

This occurred immediately after installation, then we attempted to run 
the Agent again and this message popped up again.  We also rebooted, 
attempted to run the Agent again, still got the message.  Tried in 
safe-mode with networking thinking maybe something was loading during 
normal boot that was conflicting with it, and still nothing.  Can anyone 
shed some light on this error message?
