I have created a rule to check if a regictry key exists and if not, direct the
user to a web page where they click a link that runs a script that creates the
key. It adds our domain to the list of trusted sites in IE by adding the
following key:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\rmc.edu
The script works - the key shows up as intended and our domian is listed under
trusted sites.
It seems that Clean Access directs the user to the link regardless of whether
the key is there or not though. If its not there, Clean Access directs the user
to the site and the user executes the script -as I said, the script works and
sets the key - but Clean Access does not recognize it on subsequent tries and
the user is stuck in an endless loop. Is there something that I am missing when
creating registry checks? I have gone over it and over it again and the key is
there and it is correct.
Any help is appreciated - thanks!
