hrm.. given a choice betwen "/, /boot" and "/, /home" i'd recommend "/,/home" 
any day of the week. /boot is nice as a safety feature, but /home is far more 
useful when doing things like reinstalling or changing your partitions 
around.

yes, and this should happen automatically during the install, right near the 
end after it's partitioned and done most of the installing...
