not against etiquette, but perhaps against simple logic and common sense. 

you stated that since Lindows runs as root, Clint's Red Hat box should have 
antivirus software. i simply asked what the connection was, as i can't see 
one. in fact, i don't think there is one.

and i care because i really don't want people to get the impression that linux 
needs antivirus software and other such crutches when it clearly doesn't (at 
least not this year and probably not the next several) ...
