Trend sells Linux AV, so does Symantec/Norton.  Kaspersky does, Ahn does.

Actually, other than trying to pick an argument with me, and ticking off
Richard, I'm not too sure what's up here.  You seem to get POed whenever
AntiVirus comes up a a subject.  Sure you're against it.  That's fine.  But
others aren't.  Some will be mandated to run it by corporate policies.
Others will run it because it's mandated by a CYA policy.

Samba built a VFS module, and there are a few examples of places where you'd
want to use it.  One is for a recycle bin.  The second is so that every file
accessed via Samba is scanned first.

People ARE using AV software.  Sure, on a desktop it can be skipped.  You
could skip it on Windows too, assuming the server does an adequate job of
protecting everything going in or out.

And Home Use is a different thing althogether.
