Just a couple points to clarify:

The local IP was pushed to the Superreal servers via the MS DNS server.  My
experimentation with nsupdate added the entry for my external address - but
was not successful in removing the existing record.  This said, I think
nsupdate MIGHT be a solution - if I can manage to remove the existing
entries.  If that's the case, then a script is in order.  If that's not the
case, then I'll need to find another method (like biting the bullet, and
paying Telus an extra $40/month to get the static IP - change my DSL
connection from residential to business, or investigating DynDNS.com)
