(clug-talk) VMWare 4.0

I'm trying to install VMWare 4.0 and it wants to know where the kernel is kept 
because the ones it has won't work. I'm using Suse 8.2. I know that in other 
distros that the kernel is usually in /usr/src/linux but not here. 
Any ideas?
