Are there builds for 7.2 that I'm missing? (I can only find KDE2.2.2) or do I have to deal with updating all the dependencies so that I can install the RH9 rpm?go to kde-redhat.sf.net and they have binaries... for instance, if you ftp to ftp://ftp://apt.unl.edu/apt/7.3/RPMS.test (there are mirrors listed on their web page as well) you will see 3.1.3 RPMs for RH7.3. in apt/7.3/RPMS.kde3 there are RPMS for 3.1.2... you don't need to worry about the i18n packages, the Python stuff, or the .txt files if you don't want to...2. Would it be worth installing KDE 3.1.3?IMHO, yes... there are a lot of fixes and general improvements.3. What things should I be cautious of when installing and messsing around with KDE? ( This will probably be done over lunch or after work so I don't want to be stuck having a 1/2 working system.)not really.. just listen to what RPM tells you regarding dependencies and you should be fine. KDE and GNOME stay out of each other's way pretty well. you can also have multiple versions of the same desktop running locally, but unless your packager is ++nice it's really only doable via source and some hand-hacking of config files like xdm scripts. - -- Aaron J.
