Hello all, I've just spent the last little while installing Gentoo and have ran into a
little snag. I'm not very formilar with grub or the details of the boot process so
bare with me. After I install gentoo and reboot the computer I get the following
output:
GRUB hard disk error

I've gone through the installation manual and looked to google to find a solution but
couldn't diagnose the problem. I've complied the kernel and copied the bzImage to the
/boot directory on /dev/hda1 and installed grub as my bootloader. I have two
partitions

/dev/hda1 >> /
/dev/hda2 >> swap

I've set /dev/hda1 to be bootable using cfdisk.
One odd thing I noticed was that when I installed grub, /grub/ was created rather than
/boot/grub/ as mentioned in all the gentoo examples I've seen. I've tried linking to
the /grub/ directory and even copied the directory recursivly into the /boot/
directory but the same problem exists. I'm out of ideas here and any help is
apprieciated. Thx.

Jason
