Hey gang, I've once again gone on my quest to taste another flavor of Linux. My dish for this install is a debian based system. So being intimidated and mostly lazy with downloading the 7 disk iso from linuxiso.org and installing Debian from scratch. I've decided that a Debian based distro Knoppix 3.3 would suit me just fine. So I followed the instructions to install Knoppix to the hard drive and then went to my favorite part with upgrading. So running "apt-get update" and "apt-get upgrade" and playing around with trying to get the latest versions installed I've gotten into a snag. It seems that apt-get tried to install a package due to a dependency issue now apt-get is not able to install any other packages and is not able to fix things either with the -f option. The package is libxcursor-dev. How can I find what is causing this package to be installed or how can I fix this issue? Also where I can get a list sources to get a stable versions of packages? I don't need bleeding edge but having the complete version releases would be nice. Any help would be appreciated.

Jason Louie
