I figured it out. What I had to do was remove the dependent package
xlib-dev and it's dependencies. I noticed a lot of cruft that is
installed onto the system so now the clean up. I guess the issue was
that some packages did play well together. Thanks for your help Jesse. Jesse Kline wrote: OK, but what is the error message. Usually it will be looking for a package because another package is installd that relies on it. The error message should tell you.
