To tell the truth, it's been a while since I used xf86config. Most distros have much newer and prettier X configurators. sax is way GUI, Debian's dpkg-reconfigure is character/curses based. I would expect something as whiz-bang as Gentoo would have something more recent than xf86config. -- Any technology distinguishable from magic is insufficiently advanced.
