Hi guys, Sorry for the off topic post. I searched the archives, but the only other person to ask requested replies offlist :)
I'm currently a Windows/Linux admin here in BC and planning a move to Calgary August 1st so my girlfriend can finish school at U of C. I'm looking for any advice on decent parts of town to live that won't break the bank until I find employment. Is it reasonable to expect to get a place relatively close to the university? Any advice on the IT job market in Calgary in general? I'm debating whether I should hold out for something in-line with my skills or just take anything to pay the bills. Oh and anyone have any stupid gotchas for moving out of province? Never done this before!
