One gotchas is if you have a car. In order to get plates and insurance for an out of province car you have to have an out of province inspection done. You need to get a form from the alberta registry to get the inspection done. $25.00 I think. Then you have to go to a registered out of province inspection garage. If you have an older car you will need to get repairs before your car will pass. I would advise getting a mechanic to look at it in BC and let you know what they think is wrong. That way you will know before the inspection what to expect or know if you are getting ripped off. For the three cars ( 85 jeep, 83 RX7, and 89 Camry) I have had to put through the repairs were $500.00, $1000.00 and $600.00. They usually hit you for brakes and exhaust.
