Not sure how much help I'll be, but... NetMeeting is dead. Replaced by MSN Instant Messenger. A quick google search for "web based whiteboard": http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en-us&q=web+based+whiteboard&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 I've seen references to this type of application a few times. The fact that you need cross platform strongly suggests a web based solution. Hope it's a start for you at least...
