er, I don't really see a direct correlation between KDE and name 
resolution.  But perhaps I'm missing something.

As for my version, I have the latest available to Kubuntu - 3.5.2.

And the kicker here, is that because it was a DNS problem, it didn't 
matter which browser or OS you used... (again, in my case - not sure if 
  Martin is having the same problem though...)
