I haven't seen Notify up close and personal, but I'm told there's a big "delete all" button in a very dangerous place in the UI. You're also the first person to say anything other than "Notify totally blows goats" in my experience. I guess you've acknowledged the weak points, though, so perhaps you're just a little nicer than most. > Notify doesn't support sx11 yet, and it has been a BIG problem for one > client (Hi Jon). That's the rub as far as I'm concerned. I don't remember what the stats are, but a really (really!) high percentage of businesses are small business and have no need for the advanced features of Exchange or Outlook. I think Gustin said that most solutions are overkill and they are indeed. I know it's a personal decision, but I prefer to service small businesses with tools that meet their requirements than try to convert big business with tools that don't provide 100% Exchange functionality or third-party support a la BES, etc. I still maintain that nobody needs "Full Exchange capability". Any business principal stating that is just advertising that he or she hasn't done any requirement drafting. Even M$ will tell you that a 80% of the users for any of their products only use %20 of the features. It's a different 20% for sure, but unlike personal preferences, feature use can be determined or mandated in a business environment. -- Key fingerprint: BDE0 DE52 B8C0 0CDF 7653 E5A2 D861 7877 0D3B 813E http://www.jonwatson.ca +1.403.770.2837 "Trying to learn to hack on a DOS or Windows machine or under MacOS is like trying to learn to dance while wearing a body cast" - ESR _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
