Hi I have a notebook and used to work with Windows XP on it. About a month ago, while I was burning a CD, it suddenly shouted down and from then on, it happens ever now and then. I had an expert company to check the computer and they said everything seems OK.
Recently, when I tried to install ubuntu 7.04 from its CD on this notebook, it alerted me that the CPU is over heated and the installation should be terminated. As I guessed the CD drive may make the problem, I thought of installing from a flash drive. But, I couldn't find any reference on the Internet to do so. I am familiar with computer hardware and software, but it is my first experience with Linux. I want to know if it is possible to install ubuntu 7.04 from a flash drive and if not, what are the other options I have. Thanks in advance Behnam
