Maybe, but I don't think that's the problem. I can play DVDs just fine. They 
would mount up the same way, wouldn't they?

I've tried it with mplayer, kaffeine, KAudioCreator, KsCD, Amarok, kmplayer.

Same problem with grip, and KAudioCreator. I think that's all I have.

grip will start ripping and get a few bites in and then stop...
