Intrepid is still using xrandr 1.2, which does not support multiple
cards.  The current xrandr supports more than 2 monitors, just not two
video cards.  That support is slated for xrandr 1.3.  You will have to
wait for 9.04, a backport, or build it yourself when it becomes available.
