Someone correct me please.  One needs to make sure that ADSL is not provided on 
the same copper lines as analog equipment will have a filter on the line.

Aha! I have it now!

Find out who in your company has POTS and give them a computer with a
modem.  Then, when you need to use it, you can log in to the computer
remotely and use the modem.

This also sounds like a business opportunity... a poor one... but still.
