Read the RAI manual p 3-156, bottom paragraph. It does say to divide by 7. You are to calculate over the last 7 days even if the resident did not receive fluids IV on all 7 days. lYou are to add up all the daily totals or the weekly total (in this case 3 days). You are to "Divide the week's total fluid intake by 7. This will give you the average of fluid intake per day.".
