4/2. IV Fluids would be treated the same way as a tube feeding.  Resident is
totally dependent for receiving the hydration. Now if the resident was
taking anything PO then it would be a 3/2.

Res is receiving IV fluids but is not eating or receiving nutrition via
other method. does not eat is npo  Per the RAI manual it has TPN and tube
feeding for examples but it also has eating  and drinking under  this
category.

Would you code this 4/2 which is what I started with and then give it a
second thought
or code 8/8?
