The difference is HUGE! You are talking about a comb and washcloth and someone else mentioned a walker. The difference is that those are items to assist with ADL's. My thoughts are, and I think anyone with artificial limbs would agree, is that you'd code 3/2 because you actually are bearing the weight of the resident because the prostiesis is part of the resident. You can't compare a hair brush (or other ADL items) to an extremity. If the resident uses the limb, it is now part of their body isn't it?
