If they go to the hospital with a bed hold then when they return, if they
are still skilled, the 5, 14, etc. schedule would start over with the 5 day
and no admission assessment would need to be done because it would have
already been done prior to them going to the hospital.
This isn't quite right - when a Part A resident returns from the hospital on Part A, the first PPS assessment is the Medicare Readmission/Return. That takes the place of the 5-day, and is followed by the 14-day, 30-day, etc.
