There are about 40+ companies that do some or all of the clinical and financial software that is used in nursing home. I would say there are about 8-12 that are nationwide and are good solid companies.

Just how many different software systems are available? I've used Keane and now I'm using Quick Care. There's really no comparison between the two. I'm getting ready to pitch getting another software program so I'm interested in what's available and what people think of them.

Thanks,

Dorothy

I have used Achieve for four years and like the program. We have had some bugs but the support people have always been willing to work them out for us. Some of our problems were because our company did not actually have a large enough server for all the people on the system....we have 32 facilities and you could tell when everyone was on because it slowed down. The actual software is good and user friendly. There are also lots of reports that you can pull that are very useful.

WE have also reviewed Achieve and it appears to be a really good program.  We are still deciding which software we really want.

We are currently reviewing some new software to replace Masterseries.  We just saw a demo by Accucare (Accu med).  Has anyone used this system?  What do people think about it.

I am still impressed with Keane but don't want to rule out Accu-med until I get some more infor.

Thanks for your assistance

We use Accu-med (Accumax) and it is very user friendly, except the report maker.  It has a lot of options.  For the MDS itself, I find it a good system.  We have very few problems with the software.  We have used it for two years.  We just merged with another company though and will be changing to Achieve, of which I have never seen or used.  Anyone else?
