Has your administrator ever attempted to do any of this? It is going to be even more important to be accurate etc with the new DAVe reviews. You can't even go thru a chart in 20 minutes, it takes me 30 min on average to interview. And I usually interview a resident more than once during the assessment period. CRAZY. Good luck. Maybe you need to save all these responses and show then to the muckity-mucks.

They think all MDS should only take 20 min. They also have demanded we do a careplan upon admission(same day as admit) one on the 5 day, a new one on the 14 day and a new one with each quarterly, annual and sign change. Not just revise old c/p but print out a new one. Deb

20 min? For a comprehensive or full MDS? Or a Quarterly? Before IL started requiring full MDS for quarterlies, I could do an uncomplicated quarterly RUGS III MDS in 20 min.
A full MDS takes me anywhere from an hour (for an uncomplicated quarterly or
annual) to three hours (for admissions or complicated ones.)
