Besides the restraint issue, check to see if the padded siderails obscure the
resident's vision. The padding has been identified as "sensory deprivation" and could
potentially be identified as involuntary seclusion if the care plan does not address
frequent checks and an activity plan if the resident is in bed for any length of time
during the day.
