We are
case mix in Ohio. I do not do an annual to capture a higher score, but I do a
quarterly early when I know we have pneumonia, pressure, new therapy,
anything that would raise my score. Rumor has it the state has been zeroing in
on this, so I check to make sure it isn't three weeks later that I do another
quarterly. At times this is a sig. change and end up doing a comprehensive, but
not always, especially with pneumonia. Hope this helps.
-----Original Message-----This question is for case mix states - recently had a consultant say that it was OK to do annual assessments every 3 months (not sig changes) instead of quarterlies in order to capture a higher case mix. Does anyone actually do this? and what are your thoughts on this?
